Center for Comparative Politics

Welcome!

Our group, led by Prof. Dr. Torsten J. Selck, works on questions related to comparative, European and international politics. The central focus of work undertaken by our group is on processes of political decision-making. We study comparative politics and public policy from a political economy point of view, and we analyze the role played by ethnicity in the context of democratic governance and in situations characterized by political violence. Please select a team member for information about current and previous teaching. Consult our research if you would like to know more about ongoing projects. Our group is one of the primary institutes in the newly established research association "Welfare Societies".
